Some of the work done to put my 1943 Willys MB into British Spec. and get it ready for this season.

WW2 Convoy Lamp fitted to Jeep rear view

Above you can see the Convoy lamp now restored and fitted to the bracket I fabricated

Blackout cover and Butlers Headlamp housing
.
The Blackout cover and Butlers Headlamp shell
needed a little TLC before they were ready to be fitted!

.
The just Post war Headlamp cover looks the part,
but gives you the ability to use without totally
removing the shade at night.
You could of course cut the hinged section off
and weld in a plate if you wanted to though.

All the bits for the Convoy Lamp, Switch and
NOS Trailer Socket. Just need to fabricate
the bracket!

I decided to drain the petrol tank this year,
then whilst doing it saw how bad the housing
had got, so yet another job for the wire brush etc.
.
Petrol tank housing rubbed down
.
Not a pleasant job but should save some money on a new one.

The outside was not too good either once you
looked under the paintwork.
